The little dog who was thrown from a moving car into traffic in Chicopee last Wednesday is doing well nearly a week after being injured.
Veterinarians at Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Adoption and Control Center in Springfield said the dog, who they are calling Harry, will be making a full recovery.
Last week, 7-pound Harry went in for X-rays.
Veterinarians said his pelvis was broken and it required surgery that cost more than $3,000. The clinic raised more than $4,200 for his operation and follow-up procedures.
He should make a full recovery, but it will take him several weeks to heal.
His owner has been located, but it is not clear if the dog will be returned to them.
