It's wedding season, and a lot of people are getting married in the great outdoors. But you might call one couple's venue the next best thing.
They tied the knot Friday at the Bass Pro Shop at Opry Mills in Nashville, and the aquarium actually made a nice backdrop for the ceremony.
"I'm pretty sure the occasional giant fish coming by added a lot to it," said groom Robert West.
It's probably no surprise that the offbeat venue was the groom's idea. He's a big outdoorsman, and his bride was hesitant at first but came around to the idea.
"We wanted to do something different, and I think we accomplished that," said bride Sarah West.
"We thought about some VFW halls, some American Legions or even some event centers, but everyone uses those. And who thinks about going to Bass Pro Shop to get married," Robert West said.
Bass Pro says the Wests were the second couple to choose the store as the setting for their wedding.
