Alabama man texts 'help' before disappearance

Posted: Updated:

The family of a missing south Alabama man fears his life is in danger after he sent a cryptic message before he disappeared.

Charles Jackson, 33, was last seen on May 22 after an argument with a family member.

Mobile police say Jackson was walking to his girlfriend's house in Citronelle when he texted the word 'help'. He has not been seen or heard from since.

The text message said he was walking and felt like he was going to pass out.

Family members say it's not normal for Jackson to go without calling.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to his location.

Anyone with information should call the Mobile Police Department at 251-208-7211.
