Girl Scouts deliver cookies to local troops

Posted: Updated:

The Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts donated almost 4,000 boxes of cookies to local troops this year.

Part of those went to the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base.

Some of the girls got to tour the base on Saturday afternoon.

The event also gave the girls a chance to interact with the women stationed at Barnes, who were also scouts themselves.

Along with Barnes, the scouts said cookies were delivered to the USO, Westover Air Reserve Base, as well as locations in Pittsfield and Worcester.
