Wilbraham firefighters battle blaze on Saturday afternoon

Posted: Updated:

The fire department was called into action on Saturday, as a fire broke out a little after 4 p.m. at a house at 11 Butler Road.

Lt. Daniel Corliss of the Wilbraham Fire Department told CBS 3 that fire was showing on the exterior when crews arrived.

Corliss said the fire was under control within 15 minutes and completely out within a half-hour.

The house is on the market and furnished, but the owner was away on vacation.

The state fire marshal's office investigated and left the cause as undetermined, but said it is not considered suspicious.

There were no injuries.

Corliss estimated the damage to be around $10,000.
