TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police say a west Toledo gas station was robbed early Monday morning. This is the latest incident after south Toledo was terrorized by a string of dangerous armed robberies.

TPD says a man entered the Circle K at Dorr Street and Holland-Sylvania Road around 4:30 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk. Police say they are currently reviewing surveillance video of the robbery.

Toledo police say they are confident this armed robbery is not linked to the others. They say they have arrested one suspect in the south Toledo robberies and the other suspect is on the loose. They don't believe he is behind this robbery.

Police say the robber walked into the store just before 5 a.m. The clerk tells police he had a black mask on and a red hooded sweatshirt. He said the robber pulled a black semi automatic hand gun. Police say he demanded the clerk open the register. There was a time delay on the drawer. When the clerk finally got it open, the suspect grabbed $54 from the drawer and took off running.

Toledo Police detectives could be seen knocking on doors at an apartment building across the street from the scene just hours after the robbery.

Toledo police still need your help catching the second suspect in the string of armed robberies on the south side of Toledo. If you know where Leroy Alcorn is located, call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111 or 911.
