(WMC) - Memphis music icon Mabon "Teenie" Hodges will be laid to rest on Saturday.
The legendary songwriter and guitarist died last week in Dallas from complications from emphysema. He co-wrote classics such as Take Me to the River and Love and Happiness.
The first wake for Hodges will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ford Funeral Services on Sycamore View Road in Memphis, Tenn. A second wake will be held later that day, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church on Poplar Pike in Germantown.
Hodges' funeral is set for Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church.
