TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson police arrested a man who is a suspect in three robberies, of which at least two involved a gun.

The suspect, identified as Jorge Parra, allegedly robbed a Family Dollar store on 22nd Street on June 30. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. According to TPD no one was injured.

On July 8, Parra allegedly robbed a second store, a Payless ShoeSource on West Valencia Road. TPD said Parra allegedly pointed a gun at the store clerk and demanded money. He left the scene with an unknown amount of money and no one was injured.

According to the TPD, a description of Parra was broadcast, leading to officers finding a man who matched the physical description, but not the clothing, in the area near the Payless store. The man attempted to run from the police when they attempted to speak with him, police say. He was later detained and identified as Parra.

Police say he had a bag on him that allegedly contained money from the July 8 robbery, the clothes that were worn during the robbery and a gun.

Detectives confirmed that Parra was the suspect wanted in both robberies and a third robbery being investigated by the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Parra was booked into the Pima County Jail and faces the following charges - three counts of armed robbery and three counts of aggravated assault.
