COOKEVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Cookeville man is out on bond after police said he shot at his wife and charged two police officers.

Cookeville police said Scott Klaes was able to post a $75,000 bond and was released from jail on Tuesday after a violent incident.

Police said Klaes began firing shots at his wife and son as they were driving away from their house in Cookeville.

The Herald-Citizen reported Klaes had come home drunk, sparking a fight with his wife moments before the shooting.

Police searched for Klaes in a wooded area behind the home.

When they found him, police said he charged two officers with his car. He was driving with a gun in his lap.

No one was injured.

Klaes faces seven charges, including evading arrest.

He will make a court appearance on Aug. 11.
