Police identify body recovered from Westfield River

Posted: Updated:

A body was pulled from the Westfield River just after 1:30 p.m. Monday after it was discovered by two men fishing from a canoe.

The man who was pulled from the river was identified as 39-year-old Joshua Ault, police said.

The investigation has concluded because the man was not a victim of foul play, police said.

The victim was found laying face down in about five feet of water just west of Whitney Playground, which is west of the two major bridges in Westfield.
