One person dead after Hancock County crash

HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Hancock County on Saturday afternoon.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened just before 6 PM on County Rd. 23 and TR 218 in Washington Township and involved an SUV being driven by Jody Fruth, 39, of Alvada and a truck being driven by Richard Bailey, 54, of Fostoria.

9-year-old Jordan Ferguson and 1-year-old Jasmine Ferguson were passengers in the SUV.

Richard Bailey was pronounce dead at the scene.

Jody, Jordan and Jasmine were taken to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
