Wilbraham police respond to hit and run of pedestrian

WILBRAHAM, MA (WSHM) -

Police responded to a hit-and-run of a pedestrian near the corner of Springfield and Ripley streets late Sunday night.

First responders located a 27-year-old male with significant lower body injuries and he was taken to an area hospital, police said.

Wilbraham police confirmed to CBS 3 that the man underwent surgery as a result of incident. The injuries are not expected to be life threatening.
