Westfield police searching for missing teen

WESTFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

The Westfield Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing teenager.

Police said Michael Rivera, 16, left his home on Saturday and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police believe Rivera left on his on free will and foul play is not suspected.

They said the teenager takes daily medication which is not available to him.

Rivera is described as a white male, 5'2" tall, about 125 pounds with dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a pink shirt, cargo shorts and black sneakers. 

Police said he is known to frequent parks and playgrounds, specifically the Municipal Park on Hubbard Street, the skate park behind South Middle School and Sadie Knox playground on Prospect Street. 

Rivera also has ties to West Springfield.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Westfield police at 413-562-5411.
