State police arrest two people for heroin trafficking

STURBRIDGE, MA (WSHM) -

Nearly 600 bags of heroin were taken off the streets and two people arrested Tuesday afternoon after state troopers stopped a car on I-84 in Sturbridge.

State police say they called in a trooper with his K9 officer, Dakar to assist in the investigation.

After a search of the car, Tina Hazard, 42, and Russell Metze, 28, both from Maine were arrested for heroin trafficking.

Both are being held on $2,000 bail.
