UPDATE: Fire crews rule Guadalajara Fiesta Grill a total loss

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson Fire Department is investigating an early morning fire that's left Guadalajara Fiesta Grill a total loss Saturday afternoon.

Crews were first dispatched to the restaurant near Speedway and Kolb at 4:46 a.m., according to TFD. The attic was engulfed in smoke and flames, and the fire had burned through the roof in some areas. The building was considered a total loss, according to TFD Capt. Barrett Baker.

Guadalajara Grill's original building on Prince Road caught fire in May and has been closed since. The restaurant first opened in Tucson in 2002.

The restaurant has been under independent ownership from Guadalajara Original Grill, which located on East Prince, since 2011, according to its website.

The Prince Street business closed nearly two months ago after a small fire started in the storage room. Baker said the cause of that fire has been ruled undetermined, which means investigators cannot pinpoint the exact cause without a doubt.

Investigators are looking into Saturday's fire like they do any other, according to Baker. He said it's all done independently of what may have happened somewhere else in the city at a different time. Tucson Police is working with TFD to gather more information on the fire.

Fourteen units and approximately 40 firefighters were dispatched to the restaurant, according to TFD.
