Springfield residents took to the streets of downtown on Friday to rally against domestic violence.
Dozens marched their way to Springfield City Hall.
Speakers at the rally consisted of family members who have all lost loved ones to domestic violence or have been victims themselves.
Betsy Sanchez, of Springfield, lost her own daughter to domestic violence. She said she did this walk in memory of her daughter and to prevent another family from going through when she has had to endure.
"We did a walk last year and we'll continue to do a walk to do something community based, to educate our community that it's not OK to beat on someone. Domestic violence is not OK. Taking someone's life is not OK," said Sanchez.
