CBS 3 is bringing you a second "Springfield's Most Wanted" this week because police are looking for your help identifying a man who robbed a convenient store twice in the matter of days just last week.
The Hispanic man is being described as about 5'5" tall, with a tattoo on his right forearm, both his legs and a flame tattoo on his neck. His hair is shaved on the sides with a possible ponytail in the back.
He robbed the Food Bag on Dickinson Street on July 29 at about 9:43 a.m. wearing a black hooded Ecko sweatshirt.
"He had a hat on, sunglasses, had a black handgun, demanded money," Springfield police Sgt. John Delaney said.
Surveillance footage shows him demanding and receiving money and then leaving the store.
"Detectives came up here, we scoured the area with K9 officers looking for the subject to no avail," Delaney said.
Just two days later, on July 31, the same man wearing the same clothing robbed the store again.
"Might've fled in a blue car that was parked around the corner, bright blue is what it was described as," Delaney said. "Some of the information we have is that the suspect might've gotten in the car and put on a blonde wig and took off to parts unknown."
If you recognize this man or have any information on the robbery, call the Springfield Police Department's Detective Bureau at (413) 787-6355 or dial 911.
