Tomatillo Salsa - Seis Kitchen

Tomatillo Salsa - Chef/Owner Jake Muñoz


2 lbs Tomatillo

1 Green chile

1 Jalapeño with seeds

3 Garlic cloves

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

4 oz Water

Step 1– Roast tomatillos, green chiles and jalapeños until blistered and a little blackened.

Step 2– Place green chiles in a pan covered with plastic wrap until the skin begins to separate from the meat. Then peel the skin, discard seeds and remove stem. Dice into 1/44 inch pieces and add to large bowl.

Step 3– Blend tomatillos in blender until mostly smooth but somewhat chunky. Add to diced green chiles.

Step 4– Puree jalapeños and garlic until smooth, add water as needed ( looking for milk shake consistency) . Add to Tomatillo and chiles.

Step 5– Add salt, pepper and water, stir all ingredients completely.
