Sunday night fire causes $25,000 in damage in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A knocked over candle is to blame for a fire on Tiffany Street that left four people homeless on Sunday night.

Dennis Leger, aide to Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, told CBS 3 that a resident knocked over a candle in the home's front bedroom.

Leger said the fire, which happened around 10 p.m., caused $25,000 in damage and left four residents displaced.

There were no injuries to any residents or firefighters.
