WILTON, CT (WFSB) -

Outraged parents joined Wilton school leaders to discuss their concerns regarding a former preschool paraprofessional who was recently accused of child pornography.

Police arrested six people in a statewide roundup of child pornography last week, including former preschool paraprofessional Eric Von Kohorn, 33, of Bridgeport.

Parents were upset to learn that he was allegedly caught with child pornography, and was teaching their children at a Wilton preschool.

"I met Mr. Eric when I went to a parent visiting day so I know he was in the classroom with my daughter, so that's been hard to deal with," said Paige Ridley.

After confiscating Von Kohorn's home computer, police arrested him and charged him with first-degree child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance.

A number of parents are concerned that Von Kohorn was inappropriate with their children, but police and school leaders said that doesn't appear to be the case.

"While he was an employee here at Wilton Public Schools, he was not inappropriately touching children," said Wilton School Superintendent Kevin Smith.

Von Kohorn worked in the Wilton preschool from 2007 until June of 2014. He had passed a criminal background check before being hired and during his tenure he had no disciplinary record in his file.

However, parents still worried that they might not be getting the whole story.

"She (Ridley's daughter) is largely nonverbal, and like a lot of kids in that classroom she can't tell us what she experienced, so we're left in the dark for the most part," Ridley said.

A psychiatrist is expected to be at the preschool on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. to support parents. Von Kohorn has no prior criminal record and is set to appear in court on Sept. 3.
