A Springfield woman was charged with prostitution Tuesday after she allegedly propositioned the same undercover cop that she was arrested for propositioning last week.
Members of the Springfield Police Department Vice Squad were on an anti-prostitution patrol about 2:30 p.m. when they spotted 28-year-old Tiffany Rae Yazzie, of Corona Street, working on the corner of School and Union streets, according to Springfield police Sgt. John Delaney.
"This same prostitute propositioned an undercover police officer last week and the same officer was acting in an undercover capacity yesterday," Delaney said.
Delaney told CBS 3 that the same "street walker" smiled and waved the undercover officer over as he drove by.
"Apparently she has a very bad memory," Delaney said.
Yazzie ran over to the undercover officer, entered his car, again, and told him to "drive," Delaney said.
As they were driving, Yazzie propositioned the officer again. The officer signaled for backup and Yazzie was charged accordingly.
She will be arraigned on the prostitution charged in Springfield District Court.
