KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -

A Mohave County woman who called 911 for help was arrested Friday night on charges of reporting a false emergency and spitting on a paramedic, authorities said.

Dorothy Querta, 52, of Kingman, was booked into the Mohave County Jail on charges of aggravated assault on a paramedic and reporting a false emergency.

Deputies were called to the scene in the 3000 block of Northern Avenue by fire officials who reported a woman was being combative with a paramedic.

When sheriff's deputies arrived, they said Querta appeared to be intoxicated.

She complained that her foot hurt and she wanted to go to the hospital, deputies said. Querta started kicking and screaming and spit on a paramedic while they were loading her onto a gurney, according to a sheriff's report.

Querta was taken into custody.
