Former Holyoke City Solicitor can not work for city under Mayor Alex Morse

HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -

Newly released documents into the separation agreement between Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse and the city's former solicitor are not revealing too many more details over why the employee left her job with a $45,000 severance agreement.

Former City Solicitor Heather Egan left her post in April, slightly more than a year after she was hired.

Since then, city councilors as well as CBS 3 media partners MassLive and The Republican have been urging the mayor to release details as to why there was a such a large separation payment.

The 10 page separation agreement released this week still does not explain the reasoning behind the payment.

But it does say that Egan will not be allowed to apply for re-employment with the city as long as Alex Morse is mayor.
