SOUTH HADLEY, MA (WSHM) -

A woman was able to escape her burning home Friday afternoon in South Hadley and firefighters also tried to save her 13 dogs living in the home with her.

The fire broke out after 12 p.m. at a home on Grandview Street.

South Hadley fire officials tell CBS 3 the woman was able to make it out unharmed, but some of her dogs were not able to be saved.

Cameras captured firefighters giving oxygen to the six dogs that survived.

State and local fire authorities are working to figure out the cause of the fire.
