Two Shelburne residents injured in rollover accident

Two Shelburne residents were injured during a single car rollover accident on Route 2 in Leominster on Tuesday morning.

According to Massachusetts State Police media relations, at 11:35 a.m., troopers from the State Police Barracks in Leominster received reports of a rollover crash near the I-190 junction.

Upon arrival, troopers found a 2012 Toyota Corolla on its roof in the median of the highway.

Both the driver, 68 year-old Jim Fitzpatrick and passenger, 55 year-old Donna Fitzpatrick of Shelburne sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

They were taken to Heath Alliance Leominster Hospital by ambulance.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Leominster Barracks.
