Posted: Updated:
NORTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -

Ambulance service has been restored to Cooley Dickinson Hospital after a pipe burst caused a leak in the Emergency Room.

Ambulances were being diverted away from the Cooley Dickinson Hospital while crews worked to repair a water leak inside the emergency room.

Hospital officials tell CBS 3 that a frozen pipe burst in the emergency room, affecting three or four rooms Wednesday afternoon.

The pipe has been fixed.

All patients were safe at the time, and walk in patients were accepted throughout the ordeal.
