Springfield police respond to apparent stabbing incident

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Springfield police responded to an apparent stabbing victim shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday night.

Sgt. John Delaney told CBS 3 that officers made their way to 55 Mapledell Street following a call for a male who had reportedly been stabbed in the chest.

Delaney said the man claimed he was 'jumped' while walking to a store by two females and a male.

He was treated for injuries and released.

No arrests have been made in connection to this incident.
