A masked man robbed a bank in Chicopee on Monday afternoon and then took off on foot.

Chicopee Police Officer Michael Wilk confirmed to CBS 3 around 2:20 p.m. the Santander Bank at 35 Center Street had been robbed.

Wilk said a male (shown in pictures) wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black hat and something covering his face demanded cash from a teller.

No weapon was shown.

The suspect took off on foot with an unknown amount of cash.
