Chicopee police investigating afternoon robbery - Western Mass News - WGGB/WSHM

Chicopee Police are investigating an afternoon armed robbery at a convenience store on Springfield Street.

Chicopee Police Officer Michael Wilk told CBS 3 that a person wearing a mask and grey hoodie entered the store at 4:15 Monday afternoon and demanded money from the clerk.

Wilk said a handgun was shown during the altercation.

Police are currently on scene investigating.

This is the same store that was robbed on January 29th by a man with a gun.

That man was also wearing a hoodie and a mask.

Police have not yet said if the two incidents are related.
