Police searching for gray Hyundai following South Hadley bank robbery

SOUTH HADLEY, MA (WSHM) -

Detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Easthampton Savings Bank on Granby Road Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to 605 Granby Rd. shortly after 3 p.m. after an employee at the bank reported the robbery.

Lt. Steve Parentela told CBS 3 that the suspect left the bank in a 2011 gray Hyundai with license plate: DV6-517.

Parentela said the suspect was a man who appeared to be in his 30's.

State and local police are actively searching for the getaway vehicle used in the robbery. Members of the public have been asked to contact the police if they see or know the whereabouts of that vehicle.
