SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) - Freezing rain and cold temperatures led to difficult road conditions in some Western Massachusetts towns early Saturday morning.

According to the Goshen Fire Department Facebook page, crews responded to a motor vehicle rollover on Route 9, east of the entrance to the Goshen Stone Company around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

The driver of a GMC Envoy slid on a patch of ice, hit a snowbank and crossed over into the westbound lane before striking a guardrail and rolling over onto its side.

The female driver removed herself from the vehicle via the moon-roof and was treated for minor cuts.

Massachusetts State Police attached to the Northampton Barracks told CBS 3 around 2 p.m. they responded to one accident-related call early Saturday, the identical single-car rollover in Goshen.

Police at the Springfield Barracks told CBS 3 shortly before noon on Saturday that no motor vehicle related accidents were reported on area interstates as a result of slippery conditions.

State Police in Shelburne Falls told CBS 3 they responded to a minor single-vehicle accident on Route 116 in Ashfield on Saturday morning when a car slid into a guardrail around 8:45 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
