A Holyoke man, who police allege recently stole from a local hospital, is now facing more charges.

Chicopee police said 47-year-old David Vega of Holyoke is being charged with one count of larceny from a building.

Investigators accuse Vega of walking into an office suite in downtown Chicopee, where he allegedly stole a wallet and cash from the purse of an employee who stepped away for lunch.

Vega was arrested earlier this week by Holyoke police after he allegedly stole some equipment from Holyoke Medical Center.

Chicopee police thank the public for their assistance in their case, noting that "Your tips assisted us."
