GREENFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a “dangerous” Greenfield resident who is accused of taking nude pictures of children.

The suspect has threatened to commit “suicide by cop” if he is found by authorities.

The Greenfield Police Department holds an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Derek Lecompte, of 91 Hope St., who is accused of resisting arrest, conspiracy, lascivious posing a child in the nude and withholding evidence from a criminal procedure.

Police say Lecompte is aware police are looking for him and that he possibly fled the area in a 2001 gray Saturn SL. He has removed his court attached GPS monitoring device.

Lecompte is described as a 6'6” tall, 250-pound man with brown hair, brown eyes and a large scar near his right eye.

Police say he is considered dangerous and have asked the public to not approach him.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Lecompte, please contact the Greenfield Police Department at 413-773-5411.
