First Warning Weather

Cool, showery to start workweek

Posted: Updated:

Lots of clouds Sunday meant temperatures were stuck in the 50s. For this night, the clouds stick around as temperatures fall into the 30s. The weather turns slightly more unsettled Monday, before gradual improvement.

An upper level low that has dominated the weather the past few days will flex its muscle one last time Monday. Expect cloudy skies, with scattered showers. The showers will be more numerous than previous days; as such, temperatures will again be stuck in the 50s.

Tuesday, there can be a lingering morning shower, but the theme of the day will be improvement. Increasing sun is anticipated with temperatures reaching the 60s. Wednesday and Thursday will be fabulous, with lots of sun and temperatures in the middle and upper 60s.

A coastal storm will be on the maps come late week, but many indications are for a clean miss. No real certainty exists at this point, so stay tuned.

A sign of a pattern change exists in the first full week of May (next week), with a ridge building over the east coast. This means warmer, drier weather, likely for a few days.
