Holyoke police investigate after 2 houses struck by gunfire

Police are searching for the suspect who fired numerous gunshots at two houses in Holyoke Tuesday evening.

Holyoke police Lt. Michael McCoy confirmed to Western Mass News that a shooting took place near the intersection of Dwight and Oak streets at about 6 p.m.

Two houses were shot at, but only one of the homes was occupied by residents. No injuries were reported.

McCoy said detectives recovered three shell casings from the scene.

Detectives are canvassing the neighborhood. This is an ongoing investigation.
