CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The 2015 Great New England Air Show attracted nearly 400,000 people according to Westover Air Reserve Public Relations.

Lt. Col James Bishop told Western Mass News that roughly 225,000 visitors attended on Sunday.

Sunday's attendance surpasses the entire total from the 2012 show at Westover.

Over 150,000 attended on Saturday.

Warm temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday forced over 100 guests to seek medical treatment for heat exhaustion and dehydration.

Westover representatives said that approximately two-dozen of the treated guests were transported to area hospitals for additional attention.

No life threatening injuries had taken place during the event, according to Westover representatives.

Traffic was delayed heavily on Westover Road & James Street. Depending on the time of each day, many visitors reported sitting in traffic for over an hour.
