Showers are coming to an end and will give way to a bit of afternoon sunshine. Most places only picked up a couple of tenths of an inch of rain but will will likely see a bit more later this afternoon and evening. At this point we will take what we can get!
A cold front will move through the area later today and with it will come the chance of a few showers and thunderstorms. The best chance of seeing a strong to maybe severe storm would be across the hill towns and Franklin County. The biggest threat would be strong gusty winds and hail. If you have plans to be outdoors this evening be sure to keep an eye to the sky. If you see the dark clouds building and certainly if you hear thunder be sure to bring it inside. The best chance of seeing some rain or a storm will be between 5 pm - 9 pm.
On the other side of the front it will turn cooler and drier! In fact, tomorrow will start another beautiful stretch of weather with sunny skies and cool pleasant temperatures. The nice weather looks as though it may last through The Memorial Day Weekend. Day time highs tomorrow will stay in the 60s and will likely top off near 70 on Thursday and Friday. There may be a touch of frost early Thursday morning and again Saturday morning as well.
