A 36-year-old man was discovered dead in a restroom inside of the Hess Station on West Street in Amherst.

The death of an Amherst man is currently under investigation by multiple authorities.
Mary Carey of the Northwestern District Attorney's Office told Western Mass News that a 36-year-old, white, Amherst male was discovered deceased in the restroom of the Hess Station at 468 West Street in Amherst around 3 a.m. on Saturday.
Amherst Police, Massachusetts State Police and the Crime Scene Services Section responded to the incident.
"We won't have an ID for the deceased today," Carey said.
The cause of the death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
At this time, the incident is under investigation and no 'foul play' is suspected.
