CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

A candlelight ceremony was held Sunday night to honor those who died while defending our nation in Vietnam.

It's just one of the many memorial day activities in the city of Chicopee this weekend.

Tonight's ceremony was hosted by the Vietnam veterans of Western Mass. Many people paused to honor the brave heroes tonight.

15 Chicopee residents died in Vietnam during the war.

The Memorial Day Parade kicks off tomorrow at 10 am at the American Legion Post 452.
