CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Chicopee police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man who they say robbed a McDonald's with a handgun early Sunday morning.

Police identified the suspect on their official Facebook page as Scott Coleman, who now has an active arrest warrant for armed robbery.

If you see or have any information on the whereabouts of Coleman, call Chicopee police at 413-594-1700 or dial 911. You can also anonymously text-a-tip.

Police have asked members of the public to not approach Coleman as he may be armed.

At 5:25 a.m. Sunday police received a call that the McDonald's on Memorial Drive had just been held up by a "black male" with a handgun.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen fleeing in a white vehicle.

The McDonald's robbery occurred just one hour after the Sunoco on Montgomery Street was robbed at knife point.
