Nearly three years after closing for renovations, Greathorse Country Club in Hampden has re-opened.
The former Hampden Country Club closed down in July 2012, just six months after it was purchased at an auction for $1.4 million.
The overhaul cost the Antonacci family $45 million.
They say they worked tirelessly to make this golf experience unlike any other in Massachusetts.
"We've been in the course business for 50 years. So, we have a lot of history and tradition and a little bit of success. We thought that if we can pair that with this place, it might give people a better idea of what we're going with here," said President Guy Antonacci.
The family hopes to have the course fully open by late June.
