A bomb threat at Brunton Elementary School in Springfield forced students to evacuate for just over an hour Tuesday morning. It's the second threat in less than a month at the school.
Dennis Leger, aide to Springfield's fire commissioner, told Western Mass News that a teacher found the threat written on a bathroom wall around 9 a.m. Tuesday. That teacher took action and pulled the fire alarm to evacuate the school immediately.
When Western Mass News arrived on-scene, students were outside getting on busses while police and fire officials stood guard outside the building and some searched inside.
Leger confirmed to Western Mass News that Tuesday's threat was almost identical to the May 20 threat. The same word was written in the same bathroom as before.
The building has since been cleared and students and staff have been allowed back inside.
