Springfield police confirm shooting victim has died - Western Mass News - WGGB/WSHM

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Springfield police have confirmed that Sunday's shooting victim has died. 

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney told Western Mass news that the "victim was in a car when he was shot." He added the victim was brought to a hospital in a "private car."

Police were notified before 2 p.m. Sunday of the incident.

No word yet on the identity of this person. 

Delaney did tell Western Mass News that the shooting happened in the area of Allen and Malden Streets.
