Jameson's Second Annual Jubilee brings awareness to animal cruelty

Posted: Updated:

Jameson's Second Annual Jubilee kicked off this afternoon in Ludlow, bringing awareness to animal cruelty.

The event supports local animal organizations.

Jameson was brutally beaten last year by his former owner in a fit of rage. It left him nearly lifeless.

Since then, almost 2,000 people have been following his journey online.

"He's doing good. He still can't see properly out of his left eye. His left legs still moves slower then the right side. You know, if he shakes, he'll fall over a little. But, for the most part, he's fine," said Alison Metcalfe.

Alison thanked the hundreds of people who donated to save Jameson.

In lieu of event tickets, participants were asked to donate towels, blankets, dry pet food, and gift cards from Dave's Pet Food City.
