SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -
It will become warm and muggy this afternoon as a southerly flow increases out ahead of a cold front. As the humidity builds in and a cold front approaches showers and storms will develop this evening. There could be a storm or two that becomes strong to severe. The best chance for this would be across Berkshire County and certainly across New York State. The biggest threat with these storms will be strong damaging winds and flooding rains. The best chance for us to see a storm is from 6 pm to midnight, mainly after the evening commute.
There may be a leftover shower early tomorrow morning and the clouds will linger for a while. However, drier air will continue to work into western Mass as high pressure works in.
Sunday will be mostly sunny, warm and dry with highs reaching into the middle 80s. It will be perfect to spend time outdoors. Get out and enjoy, if you can!
