Some rain on tap for Father's Day

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Rain from what is now Tropical Depression Bill is moving into the region now, and will pick up in intensity into the overnight hours. Some downpours could cause some minor street flooding.

Father's Day starts off with rain and some of that rain could be heavy at times in the morning. The rain becomes scattered during the afternoon, and we could see some good amounts of sun. Highs on Sunday top out in the mid to upper 70s with dew points in the low 70s.

Rainfall estimates range from 3/4" to up to 2" with the best chance of seeing heavier rainfall amounts in southeastern Hampden county.

Sunshine should return for Monday afternoon with temperatures in the mid-80s before another chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives on Tuesday afternoon.
