SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Two people in Springfield were stabbed at an overnight house party on Manhattan Street.

According to police Lt. Richard LaBelle, they received a call for a disturbance, "a fight" at 36 Manhattan Street at about 2:36 a.m. Saturday. At the same time the Shot Spotter also alerted police to activity.

When they arrived on scene they found a number of people partying outside at the home. They also found two people with stab wounds.

Both were rushed to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield by ambulance. "One has non-life-threatening injuries," said LaBelle, "The other person is out of surgery and stable."

At this time police are not releasing their identities.

Witnesses on scene were not cooperating with detectives and they didn't find a gun or any shell casings LaBelle noted when asked. No word on any suspects.

The stabbings remain under investigation.
