Easthampton officer graduates from FBI Academy

EASTHAMPTON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Capt. Robert Alberti of the East Hampton Police Department graduated from the FBI National Academy program at Quantico Virginia on June 12th alongside 217 other law enforcement officers.

Alberti is the first graduate in Western Massachusetts in 10 years. According to the Easthampton Fire Department Facebook page, “Less than 1% of all law enforcement worldwide are nominated to attend this intense and rewarding training. In order to be nominated to this law enforcement executive training, you must hold the rank of Lt. or above.”

Men and Women from 47 states gathered to make up the 260th session of the National Academy. The National Academy program offers 10 weeks of cutting-edge communication, leadership, and fitness training.

Alberti proudly brings back advanced, 21st century policing to the department and to the city of Easthampton.
