With a rainy start to the day several communities have experienced power outages.

According to Eversource's outage map at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, the town of Middlefield had been hit the worst with 75 percent of customers without electricity.

Crews had to remove tree limbs from wires so they could bring the power back on. Eversource represenative Tracey Alston told Western Mass News the outage in Middlefield was due to a circuit in Peru that had been impacted by those tree limbs. Power was restored by noon.

Power outages also occurred in Tolland due to a downed tree.  A total of 71 customers there lost electricity for a few hours, but were back on-line by noon as well.

At about that same time the town of Wendell experienced some power outages because of downed wires and trees.  The Wendell fire chief told Western Mass News it happened on Bullard Pasture Road.  National Grid's outage map showed 16 customers were without electricity shortly after noon Sunday.

A few other communities including Blandford and Springfield had several outages Sunday morning as well.
