A pleasant Tuesday but downpours and storms for Wednesday
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -
It will feel more summer-like this afternoon as temperatures reach into the low to mid 80s. It will slowly become a bit more humid too. There could be a shower or storm across the Berkshires. Aside from a sprinkle the valley should stay dry with a fair amount of sunshine.
The humidity will continue to build in overnight as a cold front draws closer. Out ahead of the front an increasing southerly flow will bring in the humidity and moisture. There will likely be a few showers and storms across Berkshire County.
The building humidity and approaching cold front will lead to numerous downpours and thunderstorms for tomorrow. The threat for downpours and storms will arrive during the morning lasting off and on into the afternoon. A few storms could lead to some quick flash flooding.
This front will sag through the region and shift off shore by tomorrow evening. Although we may see a lingering shower or storm on Thursday right now the long holiday weekend is looking mainly dry and seasonable, which is great news!
